Sixth-generation Farm in Macoupin County, Illinois

About Young Farms

Young Farms is a sixth-generation grain farm located in Macoupin County, Illinois, near Carlinville. Carlinville is the county seat of Macoupin County and is approximately 45 miles south of Springfield and 50 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri.

We grow approximately 2500 acres of corn and soybeans. We take pride in our agricultural heritage and make stewardship of the land entrusted to us our top priority.

Young Farms is operated by Josh Young and parents, Ron and Martha Young. Wayne passed away last year at 99. At age 93, he taught himself to run autosteer in the combine, lest he risk losing his job!

We look forward to updating this page soon with more pertinent information about our family farming business.
